Dr. Shepherd will synthesize his various scholarly studies on urbanization, weather, and climate. As the recipient of the AMS Helmut Landsberg Award, he brings a body of expertise to bear on the scholarly work and relevant societal implications. He will use current research and societal challenges as the focus of his study.
