Research Analyst, Oil & Gas Methane Emissions

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or energy-related field or other related degree with 2 or more years of experience, or a Master’s degree in environmental science or energy-related field or other
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and knowledge in statistics; preference for proficiency in Python or a similar language allowing analysis of large data sets.
  • Proficiency in geospatial analyses with ArcGIS or other software
  • Experience in performing rigorous analysis with short deadlines in support of highly visible work
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and collaborate effectively with diverse colleagues in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas in writing and orally to multiple stakeholders with different levels of expertise, including the public and O & G operators.
  • An interest and commitment to solving environmental problems through collaborative projects based on rigorous science and solutions-focused advocacy.
  • Participates in advancing EDF DEI goals in which people from all backgrounds and experiences feel connected, included, and empowered to address the environmental and organizational challenges in alignment with EDF values.
  • Demonstrates self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
