Job description

The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Yale University and the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in paleoclimate modeling and analysis. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of researchers at Yale and CIRES, along with project collaborators at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), to investigate the influence of ice sheets and ocean-atmosphere interaction on the hydroclimate of the western United States during the Last Glacial Maximum, primarily through the use of coupled climate model simulations. The project is interdisciplinary, and the Postdoctoral Research Associate will also have the opportunity to participate in field work, lab work, and analysis of paleoclimate data in addition to modeling activities.
