Are you a meteorologist, or meteorology student looking to gain experience forecasting four seasons? Want to work part time?

If so, WVVA Television in Bluefield, WV, has the job for you.

We are looking for a part-time meteorologist to anchor weekend weather and fill in during weekdays as needed. We are looking for someone dedicated to weather coverage and telling a compelling weather story. Working as a team, you will help with forecasting, especially during severe weather.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Anchor weekend weather.
  • Fill in with weekday weather as needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule. 

Qualifications (include but not limited to):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or a college student pursuing a meteorology degree is preferred.
  • A strong social media background to engage and respond to our community is preferred.  
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle records check.
